Growing Taller Scams Are All Around Us

A lot of sites have been advertising and selling products that claim to make you grow taller even after puberty. They come in many forms such as DVD’s, instruction manuals, hormonal supplements, pills and the likes. These products are total scams and frauds and are a complete waste of time. They are also harmful and may cause certain damage to bones such as slipped discs and torn tendons. This is why you must be knowledgeable on what are scams and what are not.

This doesn’t also mean that exercise is no longer beneficial on your part as an adult. Although stretches and exercises may not be able to contribute anymore in increasing your height, it can still be necessary and is also a requirement for the maintenance of healthy bones and sound body.

Way back when we were younger, our body consists of more bones, mostly made up flexible structure called cartilages. This is the time wherein exercise works best since the bone structures are flexible and can adapt to the lengthening of bones. Exercising also stimulates the release of growth hormones thus hastening the process of bone growth and development.

Another important thing you must keep in mind is to have a good diet. You must consume foods that are rich in calcium, protein, amino acids and calories, most especially when you are younger, so that you will be successful in your goal of growing taller. The said nutrients are necessary as it helps in protection and promotion of health of our bones and also repairs damaged cells and replace them with healthy ones. Diet, combined with exercise, is very effective and results will clearly be evident if you are still in the age of your puberty.

If you are over the growth spurt years, then those activities will no longer be very effective. However, they are still necessary to keep individuals healthy. Yet there are other things that you can do to make yourself look taller. A few of them is to modify your wardrobe, hairstyle, footwear and posture.
